Lia Morra

Lia Morra received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Politecnico di Torino in 2002. She has extensive industrial experience in the biomedical field, with a focus on computer-assisted image interpretation. From 2014 to 2017, she served as Chief Scientific Officer for im3D, leading a multidisciplinary team working on the application of AI and digital imaging solutions to cancer screening and prevention. She is currently a PostDoc with the Department of Control and Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. Her current research interests are mostly focused on semantic image interpretation, pattern recognition, deep learning, and their applications to real-world problems.
