Andrea Acquaviva is an Associate Professor at the Politecnico di Torino. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at Bologna University in 2003. Since 2008 he is with the Department of Computer Engineering and Automation at Politecnico di Torino (Italy). He was research intern at HP Labs Palo Alto, CA, USA and EPFL, CH. Research interests of Prof. Andrea Acquaviva focus mainly on smart and distributed embedded systems for IoT applications, with special emphasis on smart energy, smart cities and smart manufacturing. He is co-coordinator of various European and Italian projects in smart energy and smart city domain. Researches by Prof. Andrea Acquaviva (between 2000 and 2017) yielded more than 180 papers in international journals and peer-reviewed international conference proceedings.
